August with the Johnsons

In August, Paul and I were able to go to Sparks for a week and watch our grandkids so that Leslie and Jason could go on a vacation with Kevin and Lori Johnson. We had a wonderful time although the smoke was so bad from fires that the sky was horrible. We set up a pool, went to the library, went to church, watched "Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang", kids went to school, Maddy had preschool. We went out to dinner at the Black Bear Diner. We roasted marshmallows over the stove and made smores, Paul camped outside in the tent with the kids, made homemade ice cream. We went to the movies. Only two children got sick. Maddy ran a fever and then Adam got sick the last day. We read scriptures every night. It was fun and we survived!
